Q: What happens when my student leaves CSH?
A:
1- If you
fully purchased your device and you are going to another
Jeffco school, just take your device with you.
2- If you
fully purchased your device and you are going to a
school outside our district, you will need to talk to
Mr. Bartuska to make your device a personal device.
3- If you did
not fully purchase your device, please make arrangements to
return it to either the library or the financial office.
Q: Can students print from a chromebook?
A:
Yes, at school using
these instructions, at home using a Google Cloud Printer if available.
Q: Can a Chromebook be used offline?
A:
Yes, but you will need to do a few things ahead of time when you are online.
Use these instructions.
Q: Will my student be using this device all day in all classes?
A:
No. Teachers will be implementing technology gradually and at appropriate times. Technology will be used when it is the best educational tool; however, not all learning happens best on a screen. Teachers will use the best research-based instructional practices--high-tech, low-tech, and no-tech--to expose students to a variety of learning experiences and to prepare them for future endeavors in college and/or careers.
Teachers will receive ongoing training from the EdTech Team and others throughout the school year.
Q: What happens when my device gets broken or is lost or stolen?
A:
Immediately come or contact to the library. If you've
lost it or it
gets stolen there are steps to take, and the sooner the better. You will get a loaner if we can't fix it right away.
