The Chatfield automated attendance line number is 303-982-3556. Please use this line for attendance calls. The line is available to leave messages 24/7. Absences must be excused within 24 hours.

• Please remember that the attendance office cannot accept email or hand-written notes to excuse absences, as there is no way to verify if the parent is sending the email or writing the note. 
• Students must maintain 90% attendance to be eligible to attend and participate in various school events, including any school dances or field trips. The 90% attendance only applies to unexcused absences.

Chatfield families can use the school communication guide to determine whom to contact for various needs. with the 1st point of contact, and if your issue has not been resolved, please feel free to move on to and involve the 2nd and 3rd point of contact as needed.

Communication Guide

Stay up-to-date on school events and upcoming student deadlines by reading the Charger News. The newsletter is published electronically and emailed to Chatfield families weekly. To ensure that you receive our news in a timely manner, please make sure your Parent Portal email address is correct. You can find past issues on the News page.

Students must have a parking pass to park in the student lot. Students who park without a pass are subject to a ticket. Get more information on parking passes at the Student Registration and Fees webpage.

Get information on Chatfield policies covering academic honesty, behavior and discipline, cell phone, electronics and internet use, harassment and intimidation, and posters and signs on the Students page. 

Also, find information on the dress code and shadowing a student.

Classroom interruptions

Teachers have requested that office staff interrupt class only in emergencies. Giving messages to students interrupts class work and adversely impacts student achievement.  Please communicate information regarding appointments with your students before they leave for school. Flowers, candy, balloons, cards and other deliveries cannot be made to classrooms. Student learning remains our top priority.

Homework requests

Students who miss – or will miss – school for any reason are encouraged to check class websites and contact their instructors directly for coursework. For extenuating circumstances, families may contact their student’s counselor. Learn more about makeup work on the Attendance page.

There are numerous ways for families to get involved and support the school community at Chatfield, including volunteering their time or donating.

After Prom

After Prom gives students a safe space to extend the fun on prom night. Sign up to help, and follow After Prom on Instagram (@chatfieldafterprom) or Facebook. 

Boosters

Some athletic teams and activities have booster clubs. Contact the team or program directly to learn how you can volunteer or donate. Learn more.

Chatfield Parent Group

The Chatfield Parent Group brings the Chatfield community together to support students and staff and promote school spirit. 

School Accountability Committee

The Chatfield School Accountability Committee brings together school leadership, community members, students and parents to discuss items of school importance including budgeting, the Unified Improvement Plan), school surveys and feedback. Consider taking part to support Chatfield.
