We're Chatfield's first Asian Student Association. We're all about learning and spreading Asian American culture and history as well as making friends. You do not have to be Asian to join; we want to include anyone interested in Asian culture and history.

The Chatfield Bagging and Giving Club started in 2020 distributing care packages at various locations for low-income or homeless individuals. Since then, our tradition has stayed strong within the Charger community and student body. We primarily focus on giving out supplies to individuals experiencing homelessness but also have the opportunity to volunteer for local organizations, fundraise, and more. Chatfield BAGS Club is student-led and provides numerous opportunities to receive service hours, leadership credit, and help our fellow community members.

This club strives to promote school spirit. We encourage student participation in the student section of sports events, and support all activities including extracurricular activities and community service throughout the year.

Description: We will be leading a bible study to focus on problems in life and to teach the word of God. We will lead the bible study while also allowing people to stand up and take a leading role on topics they know well. Our goal is to inform students on God and all of the contents of the Bible.

Potentially earn credits! Use it as an impressive extracurricular! Become a Chatty Mathlete! The main goal of this club is to enjoy math with others who have similar interests (feel free to come with your friends!). Through practice and preparation, students will be strengthening their critical problem solving skills, which will improve their grades, SAT, and standardized tests. It is worth mentioning that the math lessons will be unique from school. This means that anyone can benefit from this club, regardless of your math skills. EVERYONE IS WELCOME!

Description: The Chatfield Medical Society is a student organization dedicated to exploring medical careers through volunteer work, guest speakers, and hands on experiences. Members participate in an annual EXPO featuring medical skill workshops, career panels, and networking with healthcare professionals and university advisors. The club also contributes to school events that promote a positive and supportive school culture.

CHOP is an organization that all students are welcome to join. They work to create an understanding and appreciation for diversity in our community by partnering with diverse Jeffco elementary schools and serving as big buddies. Major events include: the school visit to Lumberg Elementary, decorating and putting on the CHOP event (Chatfield Holiday Outreach Party), and a trip to the art museum with the little buddies.

Color Guard is a visual effect for the Marching Band. Auditions and recruiting in the fall for Winter Guard and in the spring for the upcoming fall marching season. The ensemble performs with the band at all competitions and games. Dance, flag work and various use of props are all important parts of this group.

DECA is a student- led organization that prepares emerging leaders and entrepreneurs for careers in marketing, finance, hospitality, and management at the high school and college levels around the globe. DECA gives the students interested in business and marketing the opportunity to compete with peers at the district, state, and International levels. Members can also travel to conferences and network for future career opportunities. To participate, students must be currently enrolled in a business and/or marketing class.

Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA) is a national business club that develops leadership, fosters competition, participates within the community and promotes social activities. Family, Career and Community Leaders of America (FCCLA) is a nonprofit national career and technical student organization for young men and women in Family and Consumer Sciences. FCCLA members develop leadership skills and explore career pathways through participation in competitive events, community service, and leadership conferences. The real-world skills they develop help our members become college and career-ready. Our focus is on community service events such as: Trick or Treat Street, CHOP, Unified Prom, Wish Week and Relay for Life.

GSA exists to create a safer school environment for LGBTQ+ people. We strive to protect students who identify as LGBTQ+ and their straight allies from harassment, abuse and mistreatment. We will create an environment in which it is safe for people to express themselves, their individuality and/or their sexuality without consequence or judgment.

GenBridge provides students with the opportunity to make monthly visits to Brookdale Senior Living on the first Tuesday of every month. It is a great way for students to get involved, make connections, get community service hours, and put a smile on someone's face.

Green Club is a group of students trying to bring about a positive change in the local and global environment. We do this through volunteering in our community, planning community tree planting days, reducing our waste as a school and recycling anything we can! Inclusion Leadership is a student-run club that explores, creates and provides opportunities for high school students to foster, develop and maintain relationships with students who have significant support needs. These relationships are built through sports, crafts, dances, games and activities. Inclusion Leadership's goal is to create an inclusive school climate for students and a community culture of acceptance.

A mentor group helping freshmen transition to high school and volunteering in other activities at school. Chatfield faculty and staff recommend students for admission into this diverse group of leaders. Sophomores and juniors apply to be Link Leaders in the spring semester.

Students in Mock Trial Club will act out a civil or criminal trial by arguing for either the prosecution or defense side against another team, which acts as the opposing side. The Mock Trial teams are composed of 6-12 students who perform a case for the prosecution or plaintiff and the defense. Students practice their case and then compete against other schools in a district competition. In most cases, an actual Colorado judge or magistrate presides over the trial round while attorneys, paralegals and community members adjudicate the student performances. For students passionate about the law, public speaking or problem-solving, Mock Trial can be an extremely fulfilling extracurricular activity to pursue.

The Chatfield Mountain Bike Team participates in the Colorado High School Cycling League and is an associate of the National Interscholastic Cycling Association (NICA). We practice at least twice a week and there are a total of five race competitions in the fall. The league is an exceptional way for high school students to explore the sport. Often league racers participate in collegiate cycling and national and international competition. Several NICA alumni athletes are now racing on professional teams, employed in the cycling industry and becoming community leaders.

NHS is an honorary service organization for sophomores, juniors and seniors. Membership is offered to academically qualified students who meet leadership, character and service requirements. Academic requirements are based upon different cumulative grade point averages for each class. We participate in peer tutoring, host blood drives and every school-sponsored community activity. Please go to the National Honor Society website to get application information and deadlines –  the window opens at the end of February and applications are due before spring break in March.

National Art Honor Society is a program to inspire and recognize students who have shown an outstanding ability and interest in art. The program supports members in their efforts to attain the highest standards in art scholarship, character and service, and to bring art education to the attention of the school and community. There are volunteer opportunities for students who are interested in lettering and/or graduating with honor cords. NAHS also doubles as our school Art Club and we encourage anyone who is interested in art to come and join us!

Description: CSBC in a stem- focused team that prepares students for the US Department of Energy's National Science Bowl. Members will strengthen their knowledge of biology, chemistry, physics, Earth and Space Science, and Mathematics while developing fast paced buzzer and team skills. 

The regional Science Bowl, usually held once between January and March, is the qualifier for Nationals. To get ready, we'll hold weekly/bi-weekly practices starting at the beginning of the school year. All interested students are welcome, whether they're aiming to compete or learn more about Science. Our purpose is to empower CSH students from diverse backgrounds to be voices for positive change in our school. It is a forum for students to collaborate with the superintendent and other school, district and community leaders to create a sustainable movement for social justice in our school through compassionate leadership. Our district wide SV gatherings take place four times per year where 5-10 ambassadors from every Jeffco high school gather to learn and build together.

We have two ways to get involved with after-school theatre: International Thespian Troupe 4126 and our performances. Our Troupe meets the last Thursday of every month to work on community involvement, to plan our competitions and participate in other Chatfield events. There is an annual induction ceremony in May for all new Troupe members and Theatre letter recipients. We have three performances each year.
