Academic Pride

  • 90% of graduates plan to attend college
  • SAT composite 1135 vs. District 1056
  • Highest SAT scores of South Jeffco High Schools
  • Highest SAT growth among all Jeffco High Schools
  • AP courses in 15 subject areas, 75% scored 3 or better compared to 61% statewide
  • Concurrent Enrollment (dual high school & college credit) highest in Jeffco saving parents $$
    • In 2017/2018, 2348 hours of college credit were awarded, saving parents $3 Million in college tuition.
  • 2018 two Boettcher Scholar finalists
  • 2018 one Boettcher Winner
  • NASA Hunch school: Update on hydrogen project; Channel 7 News story about the project
  • 2017/2018, 427 students took PSAT-10 earning a mean score of 1049, 69 points higher than the Jeffco average!
  • Five Chargers scored at or above 90th percentile in German National Exams
  • Two students qualified for DECA State in 2018!
  • One of only three auto shops in the district!

Athletic Pride

  • 23 Varsity Sports, the most in Jefferson County
  • Ten of the last 12 years we were awarded the Best Sports Program in South Jeffco
  • 78 Varsity Athletes maintain a 4.0 GPA or higher
  • 20 Varsity teams made the State Playoffs
  • 2017/2018 Awarded Jeffco Sportsmanship award 
  • Kathryn Shanley won the 500 freestyle in swimming & placed 2nd in 200 freestyle! Congratulations!
  • Zak Day made the USA National Team in Taekwondo in 2018.
  • Four Jeffco County Coach of the Year Awards in 2016/2017 
  • Christian Holmes won the 5A SINGLES TENNIS STATE CHAMPIONSHIP October 2017
  • Final Four in Football, Volleyball, & Boys Basketball (Basketball 2nd year in a row)
  • 4 All State Athletes 2017/2018
  • 67 CSH Athletes were selected 1st team All-Conference

Activities Pride

  • Award Winning Top Theater Program in the Nation 
  • Marching Band placed Top 8 in Colorado, 24 of the last 26 years
  • Four Chargers in All-State Band
  • Twelve Chargers in All-State Choir
  • Annual Wish Week raised over $20,000 with help from some of our feeder schools
  • Students spread Holiday cheer to Ft. Carson soldiers

  • Mr. Stukey is the Colorado Council for Learning Disabilities OUTSTANDING TEACHER of the YEAR & a 7News Everyday Hero along with his wife, Heather.
  • Ms. Horowitz is the 2016 recipient of UNC's Outstanding Teacher of World Languages for French.
  • Mr. Daniels is the Rocky Mountain Region's 2016 Faculty Advisor of the Year for Key Club
  • Three teachers placed with their artwork at the District teacher art exhibit in 2017.
