Second Chance Credit Recovery at Chatfield
Second Chance is a credit recovery program that provides students who fail a class the opportunity to meet the standards required for a passing grade (D) in a more timely manner.
In order to be eligible for Second Chance, a student must have
- received a failing grade between 50%-59% (mixed scale failure by teacher discretion)
- no more than ten absences during the semester in the course
- no serious disciplinary issues

Jeffco has a variety of options for students who need credit to graduate. For example, seniors can talk to their counselor about Graduate on Time (GOT) through McLain High School.
