Choir Council is a student leadership organization for students who share a passion for vocal music. Color Guard is a visual effect for the Marching Band. Auditions and recruiting in the fall for the Winter Guard and in the spring for the upcoming fall marching season. The ensemble performs with the band at all competitions and games. Dance, flag work, and various use of props are all important parts of this group.

The Gay-Straight Alliance is a student lead and organized a club to give everyone a safe place to turn. This club addresses the issue of discrimination and creates a safe environment to provide support for one another. MOCK TRAIL

Students in Mock Trial Club will act out a civil or criminal trial by arguing for either the prosecution or defense side against another team, which acts as the opposing side. The Mock Trial Team(s) are composed of 6–12 students who perform a case for the Prosecution/Plaintiff and/or the Defense. Students practice their case and then compete against other schools in a district competition. In most cases, an actual Colorado judge or magistrate presides over the trial round while attorneys, paralegals, and community members adjudicate the student performances. For students passionate about the law, public speaking, or problem-solving, Mock Trial can be an extremely fulfilling extracurricular activity to pursue.

Model United Nations is a club for students interested in global issues. Students have the opportunity to act like delegates to the United Nations and simulate UN committees. Students follow parliamentary procedure to discuss resolutions, propose amendments, and collaborate with other countries to create solutions. We will attend a few Model UN conferences throughout the school year. These conferences are typically on Saturday.

MOUNTAIN BIKE TEAM

The Chatfield Mountain Bike Team participates in theColorado High School Cycling Leagueand is an associate of the National Interscholastic Cycling Association (NICA). We practice at least twice a week and therearea total of five race competitions in the Fall. The League is an exceptional way for high school students to explore the sport. Often League racers participate in collegiate cycling and national and international competition. Several NICA alumni athletes are now racing on professional teams, employed in the cycling industry, and becoming community leaders.

NHS is an honorary service organization for sophomores, juniors and seniors. Membership is offered to academically qualified students who meet leadership, character and service requirements. Academic requirements are based upon different cumulative grade point averages for each class. Prospective members must also have completed ten hours of community service since beginning high school. Please go to the National Honor Society website to get application information and deadlines.

National Art Honor Society is a program to inspire and recognize students who have shown an outstanding ability and interest in art. THE VILLAGE PROJECT

The Village Project is a club that aims to raise money to help support the Littleton Life Center. The Life Center is a local community center that provides various services for individuals and families that are homeless or experiencing financial hardship. Our goal is to help get Chatfield students involved in helping those who are less fortunate in our community. We hope to raise enough money so the Life Center can purchase a handicap compatible van to help drive those who don't have access to a vehicle get to their doctor's appointments, give seniors a chance to get out for "field trips" so they can see the world beyond their neighborhoods, and provide transportation for people to the Life Center when they open up their homeless shelter in the winters. We would like emphasize that even though we are young high school students we still have the ability to make positive change in the lives that surround us.

WRESTLING/GRAPPLING CLUB

The sport of grappling brings together techniques from Greco-Roman wrestlingfreestyle wrestlingBrazilian jiu-jitsu, and Japanese jiu-jitsu.   Competitive grappling is done on a traditional wrestling mat and does NOT incorporate striking.  Grapplers wear shorts and a t-shirt, or rashguard top; mouth guards are recommended but not required.
